Late Night

Posted on

Ahhh, the joys of bunny-parents. Bean decided that when I finally got in bed last night, that it was play time. You would think a full-size human could get a 3 pound rabbit to chill. You would think.

Not that I mind, but the moment I would stop playing with him, he’d burrow under the blanket and start head butting me leg. Talk about tickling! Whiskers on bare legs are the worst!

Today we are just hanging out. I can hear him eating Cheez-Its in the next room. Gonna go head-butt him now. 😉
OK, we all know I just fibbed.

Beanie Welcomes You Back!

Long time, no see!
All is wonderful in Beanland. Between the new baby niece & remodeling the new pad & work, I’ve just been lazy.

Bean is very confussed by Princess Lily. When she is happy, he’s not sure he likes her. When she cries, he freaks out until I take care of her. Such a sweetie.

So, hope everyone is enjoying Spring, and of course, Bean photos!!

Slumber Party

*Yawn*

So tired.
Bean had a slumber party with my niece. It was awesome. He repeatedly checked her out. Wasn’t sure what to think.

After Lily’s last feeding and going to bed, Bean then thinks she’s ok. And woo the reaction he has when she crys. He circles her until I got her to calm down.

Was so sweet.

Well Princess Lily is 15 days old. And the whole family has just gushed over her. 🙂 We are back to about normal now.

Bean has had a few chances to meet the baby. He sniffs her alot. Not sure what she is yet. Mostly ignore her still. He plops in my lap the moment she leaves. I giggle.

This bunny-mom found out that there are coyotes all over down here. And Bean found out too. Saturday night he was up ALL night. Scared. Ears up, jumpy, hiding under the sheets for me.

So we got smart. We leave the tv on (at very low volume) when it’s bedtime. It helped tons. Now Beanie will curl up and watch tv until he wants to come to bed.

Never would have thought about coyotes in the field. And dumb me didn’t put two & two together. Bunny ears hear alot.

Bean photo time!!

Scary Beans

Well Tuesday night and Wednesday morning Beanie wouldn’t poo. I started to really freak out when I got up Wednesday morning and he hadn’t gone all night. He is normally a mini poop factory.

So called the vet my Mom recommemded and had him there 2 hours later. He was acting normal. Not sluggish, was still snacking. But I wasn’t chancing it.

Exam & X-rays came back and he had no blockage at all. Great news. But no poo still. After almost two hours at the vet, and me crying the whole time, they decided it was stress.

I stressed him out Monday night. They gave him a shot to make sure he was hydrated & a pain Med because the first shot hurts. Took my baby home.

He was dopey all day. I could totally see the drugged bunny trying to stay awake. It was pretty cute. He was a little off yesterday. But by the time ten pm rolled around, he was 100% back to normal.

Whew.
So happy muh hoppy baby is ok.

A photo of him after we got home from the vet. He slept most of that day.

Happy Birthday Bean!

Posted on

One year ago today I brought Mr. Bean the Wean home & he became part of the crazy family. One whole year. Seems like yesterday he was plopped down on the chair & claimed.

Though there have been minor scares, he himself has brought nothing but happiness & joy. He makes good days wonderful, and bad days easier to deal with.

I love you so much Beanie.

My Baby, My Bunny

Friday (the 28th) is Beanie’s coming home Birthday!

I am sitting here, watching him roll around on his side. It kind of hit me out of nowhere. A whole year has gone by since he joined our crazy life. And he has brought nothing less then amazing joy. Yes, there have been some scary moments, but they where only scary because I love him so much.

And for those who might be want to know; yes, I am having a Birthday Party for him Friday. Making him Carrot cake cupcakes. He only gets the best. And he might be a tiny wee spoiled. Just a little, itty bit.

Late Night Binking

Posted on

Some bunny stayed up way too late last night playing. Mr. Wean was not in bed once last night when I checked on him. He has been laying around all day, falling asleep everywhere. He was eating his hay, and I noticed his eyes sloooooooooowly closing. Next thing I know, passed out bunny laying in his hay.

I chased him off to his corner and he dosed. Got some adorable photos of him. Then I awoke him for the first Easter photo. I know, a wee early.
